Hip-hop favorites lead a thickly balanced pack of nominees for the 2017 Boston Music Awards. Hip-hop acts STL GLD (the duo of Moe Pope and the Arcitype) and Cousin Stizz each garnered six nominations, while rockers stood strong with five nominations each for PVRIS and Palehound (though both drew additional nods for Female Vocalist, for Lyndsey Gunnulfsen and Ellen Kempner respectively), Pile and Weakened Friends.

The public can vote today through Oct. 30 at this link, and tickets go on sale today at 10 a.m. through this link for ceremonies/performances to be held at House of Blues on Dec. 7, when the winners will be announced.
