We’re under the spell of Brewer’s Fork, named for the stirring paddle that early beer makers believed possessed magical, intoxicating powers. (Then we learned about yeast.) The granite-topped bar pours out thoughtfully selected craft suds and ciders that extinguish flames from the menu’s all-wood-fired cookery: small plates, like a skillet of exceptionally tender roasted meatballs, and inventively topped pizzas, like Uncle Jesse’s Smoked Pork, laden with rhubarb marmalade. Fork it over.
