We love our mom-and-pop stores, but we also couldn’t be prouder that City Sports is a homegrown hit. During the past 32 years, the Boston-based company has opened more than two dozen East Coast stores that offer hundreds of brands in gear and apparel. It’s certainly a major market player, but the individual stores keep the feel local by offering weekly running clubs and specialty services like Boston Marathon medal engraving.
