The densely detailed drawings, colorful abstract canvases and papercut cityscapes sold by ArtLifting look great and do good, helping to empower the homeless, disabled and disadvantaged artists who created them. Each artist receives 55 percent of the proceeds from sales of their work; another 1 percent supports a fund that provides art supplies to therapy groups, and the rest goes back into ArtLifting, which siblings Liz and Spencer Powers founded in 2013 with just four artists. Now their Boston-based benefit corporation showcases the work of more than 70 artists in 11 states, and the $1.1 million in funding they received this fall means they’ll be able to elevate even more talents.
