Tiger Mama went into a tricky Fenway location that had hosted a couple of regrettable flops. Any lingering bad juju here has clearly been exorcised by Tiffani Faison’s smashing tribute to a bevy of Southeast Asian cuisines. In a room transformed by a jungle-steamy makeover, Faison manages to take creative liberties with her sources without losing their most insistent, soulful flavors. Sometimes the third time really is the charm.
