Self-taught cocktail wunderkind Ran Duan holds court in the same stately, crumbling Colonial manor that houses his family’s excellent traditional Sichuan restaurant, Sichuan Garden II. In addition to the mahogany-paneled, antique-stuffed Baldwin Bar, there’s the newer, handsomely library-themed Baldwin & Sons Trading Co. upstairs. Both are splendid settings for Duan’s exactingly sourced, historically inspired, gorgeously presented creations.
