Bright and bold young culinary talents Jeremy Kean and Philip Kruta first wowed crowds as pop-up chefs and Wink & Nod’s inaugural residents, then at this debut restaurant of their own near the Forest Hills T station. In typical fashion, the pair’s take on a burger combines subversive wit and fine-dining execution, piling a pub-sized patty with pickled-then-smoked green tomatoes, chili-spiked aioli and white American cheese on a house-baked brioche bun. It’s creative, kicky and classic all at once.
