Berry scones, cinnamon rolls, nutty macaroons: You can get them anywhere. Date-filled ma’amoul, Syrian shortbread with raspberry jam, Turkish kunefe in chamomile syrup: You’ll find these in few places but Sofra, the Middle Eastern-inspired Cambridge cafe from James Beard winner Ana Sortun and James Beard finalist Maura Kilpatrick. The duo offers transporting flavors in sweet treats, za’atar spiced breads and savory pies, like lamb moussaka, made with high-quality ingredients that come from Sudbury’s Siena Farms, owned by Sortun’s husband.
