Calpurnia

While stranger things have happened than four best friends jamming in a basement and forming a band, the lead singer of Vancouver indie-rock band Calpurnia just happens to be Finn Wolfhard, star of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. When he’s not helping Eleven hide from shadowy governmental organizations, Wolfhard joins pals Malcolm Craig, Ayla Tesler-Mabe and Jack Anderson to hit the studio and the stage, including their debut TV spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live in July. The band officially formed last year and released a cover of “Wanted You” by Chicago indie rock band Twin Peaks, who Calpurnia counts as a musical idol. After signing to Royal Mountain Records, Calpurnia tapped Twin Peaks’ Cadien Lake James to produce and record their six-track EP, Scout, which was released in June.
