Gallery 263’s latest exhibit has artists and conservationists Ann Barrett and William Chambers spouting off on all things whale. In addition to offering a trove of information on biodiversity and environmental preservation, Listen to the Whales has the MassArt alums assembling both visual and audio elements, from abstract paintings and screen-printed newspaper clippings to listening devices that play the colossal creatures’ songs. The exhibition is on display through April 15, and gallery goers are sure to have a whale of a time at special events on April 2, when the festivities include a parade and art-making activities, and April 9, when New England Aquarium researcher Philip Hamilton swings by to chat with the artists.
