Usually, we’re not big fans of pushing the season. Twinkle lights and Rudolph? C’mon, we just took off our Halloween costumes! But Pentatonix’s cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” off their just-dropped new Christmas album has us jonesing for jingle bells, proof of the a capella group’s considerable talents. The young quintet started as three high school pals in Texas and got noticed with a YouTube video that quickly gained traction, landing them a winning spot on NBC’s The Sing-Off and a fast track to fame. Fast forward and the pop group, who do stunning a capella covers of artists ranging from Survivor to Ariana Grande, have two Grammys under their belts and are touring major arenas.
