Yacht Rock Revue

Calling all fans of smooth-as-silk pop music tailormade for cruising the open seas in a madras shirt unbuttoned to the navel, chest hair blowing in the ocean breeze! Yacht Rock Revue is docking in town. The Atlanta-based cover band/comedy troupe pays tribute to ’70s and ’80s light-rock titans like Hall & Oates, Toto and Steely Dan at their shows—once awarded the dubious but apt distinction of “the best place to get drunk with your dad”—where they perform a mix of cheeseball hits and self-aware comedy. Previously part of an indie band, the boys of Yacht Rock Revue discovered an untapped fan base when they played some ’70s soft-rock jams at a gig on a lark. A phenomenon was born. Set sail when the Revue cruises into the Sinclair for two shows on March 25.
