Opera Bites

Consider it fine arts for the Snapchat generation. Boston Opera Collaborative, in partnership with Longy School of Music, is reprising Opera Bites, a weekend of bite-size operas—proof that shortened attention spans don’t equate to a loss of appreciation for the classics. The second annual cabaret-style festival features eight 10-minute works by composers culled from across the country, including librettos written by Longy faculty and students and six new compositions and world premieres. Cocktails and nibbles will be on hand, so head to Edward M. Pickman Concert Hall for a taste.
