The new Hopewell Bar & Kitchen features arcade games, billiards and shuffleboard, but there’s no playing around in the back of the house, where chef de cuisine Mitch Wilcox whips up elevated bar food with nary a fried mozzarella stick in sight. Take the chicken pot pie, a 14 ounce dish of dark and white meat from Senat Farms chickens mixed with heirloom carrots, pearl onions and, per the menu, love. “Homemade chicken pot pie means that person loves you,” says executive chef Josh Davis. Spread the love and bring your friends—plans call for patio seating and an indoor expansion by summer.
