There’s nothing New York about Iggy’s bagels, but their sandwiches may be a different story. Every morning, the bakery’s factory store (hidden on the outskirts of Fresh Pond) splits a limited number of their chewy, crisp-crusted bagels, spreads them with Champlain Valley chive cream cheese and piles on a goodly amount of smoked Maine salmon, thinly sliced red onion, tomato and capers. The classic combo may be the closest you come to a Lower East Side deli in these parts—barring the bargain price tag.
