Our Sales Department Is Hiring
The Improper Bostonian is seeking a sales and marketing coordinator for our Boston office. Principal responsibilities include managing the front desk, assisting the marketing and sales teams, and supervising the interns. This is a coveted entry level position. The Improper Bostonian is seeking a highly motivated sales manager to handle all sales functionality for the magazine in our Boston office. The sales manager will report directly to the publisher and be responsible for managing, mentoring and developing a sales team of 6-8 people, generating new print and digital sales leads, ideas and opportunities that net in sales growth and meeting a small annual individual sales quota. This person must be results driven and have a demonstrated track record of success in negotiating, developing and closing deals and successfully managing sales representatives. The Improper Bostonian is seeking an experienced self-motivated sales professional to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and exciting clients. The account executive will be responsible for new business development and digital sales utilizing the media platform offered by The Improper Bostonian. The ideal candidate will have prospecting/cold calling experience and an excellent ability to close and develop relationships. Time management and social presentation skills are a must. Principal responsibilities include: developing and growing existing client relationships, developing new business, accurately forecasting revenue, achieving sales goals presented by management and entertaining clients. The Improper Bostonian accepts interns for the fall, spring and summer semesters. The deadline for spring internships is December 1. The deadline for summer internships is April 1.
