On Aug. 25, the Boston Symphony Orchestra honored late composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein at the Bernstein Centennial Celebration at Tanglewood. Some 15,000 guests enjoyed a concert led by music director Andris Nelsons that included singer Audra McDonald, cellist Yo-Yo Ma and musicians and conductors from around the world. More than 500 major donors gathered for a preconcert fundraising party at Highwood Manor House, raising $800,000.
