The Charles River Watershed Association held its annual Champions of the Charles Gala on Sept. 27 at the Museum of Science’s Washburn Pavilion. Attendees enjoyed a sunset buffet dinner, raffle and auction while recognizing John Sullivan of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission and the charity’s former director, Bob Zimmerman, for working together to reduce sewage draining into the Charles River. The 200 guests raised $200,000 toward the cause.
