Christmas in the City held its Christmas in July event at the Seaport Hotel on July 26. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this winter, the volunteer organization hosts an annual party in December for 5,000 children living in homeless shelters and transitional housing before distributing approximately 16,000 toys and gifts the next day to thousands of families. More than 70 guests attended the midsummer kickoff, enjoying a cocktail party and raffle while raising $15,000 and 30 toys.
