HomeStart hosted its eighth annual Fall Gala at the Seaport Boston Hotel on Sept. 8. The Improper was a sponsor of the dinner and auction, which honored community leaders Bill McGonagle of the Boston Housing Authority and John Rosenthal of Meredith Management. The 400 gala guests helped raise $430,000 for the charity, which has worked for more than 20 years to assist the homeless in securing permanent housing.
