Dinner and a movie got a major upgrade at the Joey O’Donnell Film Premiere, a fundraiser for The Joey Fund, which seeks a cure for cystic fibrosis.
The evening began with cocktails and food stations from Boston’s top restaurants in the atrium of the Natick Mall, and the night continued at the AMC Theatre in Framingham with a sneak peek at the sure-to-be-Oscar-contender La La Land. Present and accounted for: the charity’s founders, Joe and Kathy O’Donnell, the incomparably gorgeous Nina Fialkow and her dashing husband, David, king of the hospitality jungle Patrick Lyons and the flawless Kristina, undercover Bond Girl Katherine Chapman Stemberg, investor/scribe/bon vivant John Spooner, beguiling brunette Jan Saragoni, blond bombshell Corinne Grousbeck, real estate titan Steve Karp and the comme il faut Jill, and so on and so forth.
The consensus seemed to be that the movie was an instant classic, and everyone went home with a gift bag that included three of the most useful things in the world: Twizzlers, M&M’s and an umbrella.
The evening’s funniest line: “I don’t usually wear Louboutins to the movies.”
