The Fairmont Copley Plaza was awash in do-gooders and philanthropists when the Max
Warburg Courage Curriculum hosted its annual awards luncheon.
Prominent among the throng: Stephanie, Jonathan and Fred Warburg, author and keynote speaker Sukey Forbes, the corkscrew-curled Condee Russo, Chestnut Hillions Nancy Adams and Scott Schoen, Beacon Hillion Patty Ribakoff, party pair Lynne and Gary Smith, accomplished equestrienne Diana Rockefeller, Southern belle Sydney Marshall Turner, senatorial spouse Joan Bennett Kennedy, the ever-affable Doug Fleishman and his other half, Val, award-winning author Alexandra Marshall and Milton doyenne Peggy Dray, to name only a few.
The crab salad was delicious, and one person observed, “How can you not love a party where there are M&M’s scattered all over the table?”
However, the funniest remark came from the woman who said, “You know what’s courageous? Me walking into this room of women in designer outfits in a dress I bought at H&M.”
