The Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) flew to new heights on Nov. 18 with its first Our Promise benefit at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge. The event honored the late Bob Semonian, one of the principal owners of The Improper Bostonian and a longtime volunteer at the charity. The evening’s 200 guests enjoyed dinner, an auction and a performance by the Zankagner Performing Arts Ensemble while raising $30,000 toward the renovation of an orphanage in Armenia.
