On Friday, Sept. 28, top local designers showed off their latest looks at Project Smile’s Fashion on Fire event, which also featured works from students specializing in fashion design at Boston Arts Academy, the city’s only public high school for the visual and performing arts. Hosted by WCVB-TV (Ch. 5) morning anchor Antoinette Antonio, the sold-out gala at Hilton Boston/Woburn included a cocktail party, music and dance performances, vendors and a silent auction. Fashion on Fire raised more than $18,000 to support Project Smile’s mission to bring comfort to children in need.
