Glam Slam

The fabulosity quotient approached critical levels when Dress for Success hosted Style + Soul, a fashion presentation and cocktail party, at the Ritz-Carlton. (Full disclosure: We’re not just saying that because yours truly was one of the models.)

Among the others strutting their stuff on the catwalk to help women transitioning into the workforce were such powerhouses as radio sirens Kennedy Elsey and Lauren Beckham Falcone, broadcasting babes Shayna Seymour and Heather Unruh, designer Erin Robertson, Miss Massachusetts Allissa Latham, the incandescent Luz Vargas, pharma bigwig Bev Walters, B-Mag glamazon Abby Bielagus and booze ambassador Anna McLaughlin, who were dressed to the nines by the style gurus at Bloomingdale’s in Chestnut Hill.

The ballroom was decked out like an Italian disco, with white leather love seats and lucite chairs, and the runway was lined with countless white roses, which made one guest say, “I feel like we’re on an episode of The Bachelor.”

On hand for the spectacle: board chair Jacqui Budd, Boston’s answer to Iris Apfel, Doris Yaffe, forever first lady Angela Menino and her daughter, Susan Fenton, Back Bay beauty Julie Hume Gordon, effervescent It-girl Ashley Bernon, the incomparable Sabra Katz, fashionista Pramy Yadav, designer Christian Restrepo, the deliciously dangerous Laura Baldini, wonder woman Kenlyn Jones, the suspiciously tanned Rob Caro, fashion fairy godfather David Josef and his handsome other half, Danny Forrester, dress peddler Matt Dunphy, Nantucket party pair David Handy and Donald Dallaire, force of nature Michelle O’Neill, lovable shutterbug Cheryl Richards, jeweler to the stars Jennifer Kinsman, style avatar Janaial Robinson, Gallic funboy Eric Jausseran, bespectacled hottie Bill Neidlinger, ballerina foodie Rachel Cossar and her main man, Max Osbon, blond bombshell Kristen Daley, bubbly brunette Allyce Najimy, Beacon Hill beauty Jessica Ferri Schmitz, smoldering photographer Eric Levin and the gorgeous Lindsay Ahern, New York publicist Jack Yeaton, and one man who said, “At my company, we call the Bristol Lounge at the Four Seasons ‘Conference Room B.’ ”

However, the evening’s funniest exchange: “Are you over your bronchitis?”

“I am. And the best part is that all those antibiotics finally got rid of the syphilis.”
