The Mammary Mafia was out in full force for the Hot Pink Party, a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which broke the record on how much fun people can have on a Monday night.
Held at the InterContinetal Boston, the evening attracted a strictly A-list crowd that included honorees Simone Winston and Beth Healey, Back Bay babes Maura Connolly and Shelly Nemirovsky, grande dame Nancy Korman, the gorgeous Linda Holliday and some guy named Bill Belichick, the achingly lovely Elizabeth de Montrichard, Nantucket party boys David Handy and Donald Dallaire, yummy mummy Samantha Hanman, pink-haired hipster Kimmy Strauss, the soignee Linda Waintrup with her lovable other half, Dan, the vivacious and delightful Jane Moss, fashion plate extraordinaire Lisa Pierpont, power couple Elena and Tom Matlack, PR powerhouse Kelley Doyle and her dapper dude, Walter Whalen, and one woman who pointed out, “I might not be wearing pink, but I am sure as hell drinking rosé.”
After dinner and the live auction, human disco balls led the pink-clad crowd down to the ballroom, where Nile Rodgers and the Ladies of Chic turned up the heat on the dance floor and everyone ignored the fact that it was a school night in order to shake their money-makers until well into the wee hours. The evening’s funniest remark came from Fidelity vice-chair Peter Lynch. Before presenting Simone Winston’s award, he said, “Through my wife, I became acquainted with two Winstons. Winston Flowers, which was good. And Harry Winston, which was scary.”
