Deathwish Records has the cred to back up its product: The  Beverly-based hardcore/punk/metal label is helmed by founder/owner Jacob Bannon, frontman of hardcore band Converge. Started as a bedroom project between Bannon and co-founder Tre McCarthy in 2000, it’s since grown into a well-established label, signing popular bands such as Cold Cave, Touché Amoré and Doomriders. Plus, the label regularly sponsors mixed martial artists, which is pretty badass.
