This downtown dive was a somewhat slumbering den of Boston bears. Now, on second Fridays, DJs Brent Covington and Taffy’s shimmery mix of synth-heavy tunes—from vintage jams to on-trend indie-pop—baits a rabid following of 20- and 30-something party animals. Bearded boys with flannels undone form a line out the door, and recent renovations, like USB ports at the bar, better meet the carnal needs of Generation Grindr.
