But when you want to slip away to a dimly lit den, sidle up to the dark wooden bar at this neighborhood haunt, announced only by a small neon sign hanging over the single window’s flower box. The space is strewn with bric-a-brac, the pours are generous, and the faces are friendly (and frequently chatty). It’s also a last-call favorite for serving a full Italian-American menu until 1:30 am.
