By commissioning Italian mom-and-pop makers for its e-commerce biz, M.Gemi has brought handcrafted heels, sneakers and flats to the masses. The buttery leather takes the form of slip-ons, peep-toes, loafers and sandals, with co-founder Maria Gangemi and her team dropping new designs for men and women every Monday. Offline, a new “fit shop” in the Pru will soon let shoppers try on styles for direct-ship orders while sipping on espresso from the on-site bar.
