Even if you’re planning a black-tie event, there’s something to be said for taking the formality out of shopping. Owner Alix Childs gathers gowns by indie designers like recent addition Alexandra Grecco, whose former life as a ballet dancer inspires the light beading and embroidery on clean crepe silhouettes. And the shop doesn’t stop at the dress: Newly launched accessory nights let brides test out hairstyles and peruse veils, shoes and other finishing touches while enjoying cocktails and cake.
