Boston Fermentation Festival

Get cultured at the Boston Fermentation Festival on Aug. 26 inside Boston Public Market. Spotlighting fermented food and drink, this annual get-together features more than two dozen purveyors selling everything from kombucha to kimchi, as well as a host of fermentation aficionados leading lectures that cover the craftsmanship of meat preservation and the history of New England cider-making. Participants can also join the fermenting fun with hands-on sauerkraut-making demonstrations, a Culture Sharing Table to swap sourdough mothers and kefir grains with fellow festivalgoers and a Fermented Reading Room where authors will be on deck to share and sign their books.
