We’re not sure why they don’t call it a tea dance, but Dinnerfest, the annual fundraiser for Victory Programs, takes place on a Sunday afternoon and attracts a lot of the same crowd that you’d find hanging out at the Boatslip in P-town at 4 pm in mid-July.
Held at Red Lantern, the party featured a silent auction of primarily dining experiences and a live auction with items like a trip to Bali and Lady Gaga tickets. It drew the likes of fashionista Laura Baldini, gentleman farmer Sammy Levitt, the ubiquitous Harry Collings and silver fox Dan Moon, banking bigwig Dyan Goodwin and her handsome husband, Rob Serio, the delightful and delovely Harriet Finkelstein (sporting gorgeous purple hair), southern gentleman Jay Blackwell, the incomparable Ms. Kris Knievil, brilliant architect Craig Nealy, the aptly named Sean “Glitter” Doherty, bearded studmuffin Scott Kearnan and equally sparkling others.
The afternoon’s funniest exchange: “So how did you two meet?”
“AA. Not exactly a hotbed of mental health.”
