CEOs, captains of industry, financial giants and business titans flocked to Symphony Hall for the 36th iteration of Presidents at Pops, the marquee evening that celebrates the partnership between the corporate community and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Seen rubbing elbows at the pre-concert cocktail reception were the likes of brokerage bigwig and the evening’s honoree, Dick Connolly, banking babes Dyan Goodwin and Dora Lewin, concessions gazillionaire Joe O’Donnell, power couple Holly and David Bruce, legal eagle Paul Ayoub, Cambridge doyenne RoAnn Costin, construction mogul John Fish, investment guru Joe McNay, liquor giant Carmine Martignetti, power chick Geri Denterlein, Aquarium hottie Andrew Royer, PR czarina Kate Shamon, real estate titan Peter Palandjian, statuesque exec Katherine Chapman Stemberg and one person who said, “You know you’re from Wellesley when you bump into someone and say, ‘I only ever see you at the dump!’ ” The gourmet boxed dinner was delicious, the concert—featuring Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr.—was a delight, and the event raised a boatload of money for the BSO. Best comment of the evening: “When it comes to interior design, salmon is only an acceptable color in Palm Beach or Bermuda. End of story.”
