Jillian Kuzyk and Lauren O’Shea at the Newport Flower Show
Everyone got their Gatsby on at the opening night cocktail party for the Newport Flower Show, held at the iconic Bellevue Avenue mansion Rosecliff.
Seen stopping to smell the roses were such boldfaced names as the dapper Tarleton Watkins, père et fils, with the delightful Janet Atkins, stunning brunette Lynn Kaye with her adoring other half, Jonathan, Preservation Society grand poobah Monty Burnham, garden guru Kent Russell, iconic interior designer Bunny Williams, flower whisperer Bruno Duarte, publishing mogul William F. Lucey III, jewelry designer Angela Moore and tastemaker Michael Devine, to name a mere handful.
The wine was poured by two living statues in bronze body paint, and a light buffet kept everyone well fed while swanning around on the lawn. The evening’s best remark: “I appreciate flower shows because I can’t even grow mold on cheese.”
