“The Greatest Party on Earth” is a fairly immodest name for an event, but the 12th annual fundraiser for Artists for Humanity pretty much lived up to the boast.
Held at the EpiCenter, the ocean-themed evening began with cocktails and food by celebrity chef Lydia Shire and continued with a kickass party and art auction, the whole thing punctuated by nonstop entertainment and eye candy like jellyfish mobiles and mermaids twirling from the ceiling.
Among those on hand for the revelry: real estate babe Jennifer Epstein and her handsome husband, Bill Keravuori, the toothsome twosome of Ellie Clapp and Elizabeth Lowrey, architect extraordinaire David Manfredi, ridiculously handsome couple Michael Tilley and Peter Griglik, bespectacled hipster Paul Belanger and a lot of insanely talented teenagers, like Meleeza Pires, whose portrait of Elizabeth Taylor was a cross between Andy Warhol and Gustav Klimt and would have been a credit to either of them.
The party raged on well into the wee hours, raising beaucoup dinero to help employ teens and support their artistic expression, and if there was ever a greater party on earth, we weren’t invited. The evening’s most amusing remark: “He looks very Harvard Business School. But in a good way.”
