Amber Tamblyn at the Brattle Theatre

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star Amber Tamblyn leaves behind the silver screen and takes up pen and paper with Any Man, her debut novel that spotlights Maude, a shadowy female rapist preying on men. Writing in the voices of the story’s victims and traversing between poetry and prose, Tamblyn weaves together a narrative that shows the importance of empathy and vulner- ability as Maude’s victims come to terms with their assaults.
