Boston Pops performs 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'

Get ready, guys ’n’ ghouls. Tim Burton’s 1993 animated classic The Nightmare Before Christmas is coming to life with a little help from the Boston Pops. Under the direction of conductor Keith Lockhart, the orchestra will perform the movie’s entire score alongside a screening of the film on Halloween and Halloween Eve. The movie—arranged by composer Danny Elfman—tells the tale of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who wants to experience the joys of Christmas himself, even if it means abducting Santa Claus along the way. Grab your masks, capes and Halloween best before heading to Symphony Hall on Oct. 30-31. / Julia Aparicio
