If you’re not too familiar with Bay Area R&B songstress H.E.R.’s contributions to the music scene, that’s exactly how she wants it. After being discovered through her song-writing, Gabi Wilson adopted the moniker H.E.R.—which stands for Having Everything Revealed—in an effort to shield her identity and focus solely on her work. She took the web by storm when she released three EPs in 2016 and 2017, even earning a Twitter shout-out from her mentor Alicia Keys after covering Drake’s “Jungle.” This year, she landed on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Music list and is now jet-setting to promote her latest EP, I Used to Know Her: Part 2.
