Hozier

Born in Ireland to a blues musician, singer/songwriter Andrew Hozier-Byrne—better known as Hozier—made waves on the folk scene in 2014 with his self-titled album of soulful blues, rock and R&B-inspired tracks. His hit song “Take Me to Church” was inescapable that year, peaking at two on Billboard’s Top 100, with performances on The Late Show with David Letterman and later at the 2015 Grammys with Annie Lennox, where the searing track about love and frustration with organized religion snagged him a nomination. After a suspenseful hiatus, he released his latest EP Nina Cried Power in September, with a much-anticipated second album in the works.
