The Traveller Bar

This summer, when it comes to booze, we’re throwing it back. No, we don’t mean the dubious return of Zima. We’re talking way back, to the “golden age of the cocktail,” at The Traveller Bar, a pop-up cocktail bar serving classic libations for a limited time at the Loews Boston Hotel. Fashioned from a repurposed elevator car and featuring just four leather stools and an antique cash register, the bar will pour a menu of retro tipples like an 1895-style whiskey cocktail and a circa-1922 daiquiri, recipes inspired by the vintage books that line the shelves. The Traveller Bar is stopping in Boston for just three weeks on its two-year cross-country tour, so claim a barstool at the Loews now through Aug. 4
