Harborside

Blue Hills Bank Pavilion

At this oceanside venue, take in the crisp Atlantic air and the musical stylings of artists such as Jason Mraz on Aug. 2, O.A.R. on Aug. 14 and Miguel, whose 2017 album War and Leisure debuted at No.1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart on Aug. 23. This outdoor amphitheater is also walking distance from plenty of concert pregaming. Indulge in the latest catch at seafood spots like the Barking Crab or sip on IPAs at Harpoon Brewery’s taproom.

Institute of Contemporary Art

In collaboration with Berklee College of Music, the Institute of Contemporary Art hosts free Harborwalk concerts every Thursday night through August, mixing fresh air with music, dance and art. Witness Berklee trio Triple Tea team up with Anja on Aug. 2 as they combine indie, electronic and glitch music with cinematic and progressive jazz. Pair the melodies with art by checking out the ICA’s several exhibitions, including the second-wave-feminist-inspired We Wanted a Revolution: Black Radical Women 1965-85.

Boston Harbor Hotel

Open to all ages, Boston Harbor Hotel’s Summer in the City series showcases rat-pack inspired tunes, pop-soul and blues every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday through August. Enjoy live waterfront entertainment on the hotel’s floating barge stage and al fresco dining at the Rowes Wharf Sea Grille. Head to the Harbor on Aug. 14 and groove to the crowd-pleasing musical stylings of funk band Young Love & the Thrills.

Battery Lounge

Head to the Battery Lounge, where live music flows from the North End’s shores every Friday through Sunday night. Watch the sunset over the Boston Harbor at the Battery Wharf Grille’s breezy open-air terrace and enjoy cocktails and seafood while listening to smooth summer jazz.

Atlantic Wharf

Upgrade your lunch break and jam along the Atlantic Wharf. Situated on the Boston Harborwalk, Atlantic Wharf invites Berklee bands to perform Latin music and jazz every Thursday at noon. Sit seaside and discover the versatile Eric Fells as he shifts between six instruments on Aug. 7.

Hatch Shell

Summer festivities at the Hatch Shell don’t end with Fourth of July fireworks over the Charles. Join the Boston Landmarks Orchestra on Aug. 1 and the Longwood Symphony Orchestra on Aug. 8 for a restful evening on the Charles.
