The matriarch of the 19th-century temperance movement would have a fit if she knew her name was appropriated by this den of sin—a title intended, from our liquor-loving lips, as a huge compliment. The good stuff goes down in the rear of the spacious restaurant, in a clandestine, curtain-concealed room where State House types and liquor geeks conspire over billiards, craft beer and a Bible-thick whiskey list. Carry on.
