Renee “Petsi” McLeod has been baking pies for adoring crowds for more than 20 years. Her dominion has expanded beyond her original Somerville bakery and the dessert menu at Inman Square’s Tupelo restaurant to include two Cambridge cafes. Partisans may debate whether her sweet pies (like never-cloying versions of brown-butter pecan pie and banana cream pie) are better than her savory pies (like her costly but incomparable chicken pot pie). Nobody argues that they aren’t all awe-inspiring.
