Kudos to culinary dream team Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette. Tapas haven Toro, their first collaboration, still buzzes with the same elbow-to-elbow energy as the ’05 day it started serving that now-famous aioli- and cotija-smeared grilled street corn. It’s the rare Boston restaurant to have sustained a follow-up branch in hypercompetitive NYC (and the only one to open an outpost in Bangkok). The duo will soon debut another small plates-focused concept, Cambridge’s Little Donkey. Until then, it’s still a bull market.
