For $10-$15, you can get plates brimming with rich stews of shredded beef, goat and chicken served with black beans, rice and ripe plantains. But no meal at Viva Mi Arepa should omit its namesake, a thick, flattish white-cornmeal bread lovingly hand-rolled, grilled or fried to order and stuffed with fillings like roast pork and chicken salad. Long live the arepas, indeed.
