After opening the South End’s Tremont 647 nearly 20 years ago, chef/owner Andy Husbands began honing his slow-smoking skills in barbecue competitions across the country. His prize-winning St. Louis-style pork ribs are the star of the show at his new Cambridge restaurant, but he also turns out terrific brisket, pulled pork, fiery Texas hot links and a bevy of superb side dishes like brisketflecked pit beans. This is as fine as Yankee ’cue gets.
