2018 Winner: 'Little Fires Everywhere' by Celeste Ng

After the success of Big Little Lies, Reese Witherspoon is the Hollywood bookworm/producer with the Midas touch. And it has landed, quite rightly, on this incandescent tome by Cambridge novelist Ng, which is currently being adapted for a Hulu series. The bestselling page-turner explores an arson case in 1990s suburbia that sparks a fallout between families, while examining important issues of race and class along the way. Named Amazon’s best fiction book of 2017, Fires is just Ng’s second novel. We’re burning up for her next.
