It turns out all the city’s beer drinkers wanted was a breath of fresh air. And it helps to have some damn good beer, too. Nestled into a 4,000-square-foot spot on the red bricks of the Rose Kennedy Greenway, this seasonal beer garden served the acclaimed Trillium beer—including the brand’s first lager—and was packed from its June opening till its final day in October. Its success has spawned a number of similar concepts across the area and even another one on the Greenway. With string lights, a refrigerated trailer and bench seating, it remains the perfect excuse to leave work early. Gotta avoid that line.
