The world is being overrun by fast-casual restaurants in the mode of Chipotle: sterile national chains manufacturing sandwiches and salads from less-than-stellar ingredients with assembly-line soullessness. Pretty little indie Anoush’ella breaks this mold with Armenian-Lebanese wraps, salads, grain bowls, meze and desserts that are actually as fresh and exciting as they are highly customizable. And the prices are nice for its chic South End setting. It’s representative of everything that fast-casual could be, but rarely achieves.
